Online Workshop: Sustainable Community Indicators

The Campus & Community Ecology Project will provide online resource materials and develop future e-workshops on a range of sustainability, natural resource, economic, and environmental issues.  To begin, we point you to an external link for a Sustainable Community Indicators Trainer's Workshop that was developed with support of the U.S. EPA's Office of Sustainable Ecosystems and Communities (OSEC) under a cooperative agreement with the Lowell Center For Sustainable Production at the University of Massachusetts.

Purpose

This course is intended to help participants understand sustainability indicators and use them to communicate and clarify issues to help establish and achieve community sustainability goals.

Format

This workshop is intended to be a trainers workshop for facilitators who would host a day-long workshop on sustainability.  However, the course may also be used by individuals as a self-directed introductory course or by community groups interested in sustainability.

To begin the workshop, see the link: Sustainable Community Indicators Trainer's Workshop
If after completing the workshop you have any questions or would like more resources to help with identifying and defining sustainability indicators, please contact the Campus and Community Ecology Project for assistance.
